| Back! Back to School Again... |
[September 01, 2008 | 04:32 PM] |
Every time we go back to school, it reminds me of that awful song from the opening of Grease 2. I only saw a few minutes of that movie - I was 8 and it was on the classic movie channel during some sort of strange musical marathon - but for some reason, it's stuck in my head. What I'd like to know is why I can remember this, but I can't seem to retain any valuable transfiguration knowledge over the summer. It's hardly fair. I'd also like to know who thought "Grease 2" was a classic movie, and whether or not there's a shoot on sight order out for this person.
I guess it's still sort of good to be back. When I'm here, I don't have to see my brother quite as often, and my mum can't ask me if I'm doing anything productive, the answer to which is generally a half-hearted "Yes" in the place of the far more truthful "no" that the question merits. But anyway.
I haven't yet decided how I want to spend my last homework-free hours, but I think it should involve going outside. Who wants to join me?

| It's Question Time |
[August 23, 2008 | 10:29 PM] |
Okay guys, it's question time (not to be confused, by the way, with "business time"), so I invite all of you to supply your thoughts and opinions:
How weird is it for a girl to be commitment phobic?

| I'd Rather Dance With You |
[August 14, 2008 | 07:23 PM] |
Man, if the music at this dance is half as good as the band that played the Weekender last night, we'll be in good shape. Those guys were brilliant. I don't know how their bassist played with that lit cigarette threaded between the strings on the neck anymore than I know how their drummer kept it going one handed with a beer at his lips, but I don't need to know. It would take the magic away, you know? I like the magic.
But somehow I doubt that the same people who came up with event lederhosen would supply good ball music.
At least some of you guys had better actually dance, or I'm going to be pissed. I got a nice dress and shoes I can't walk in, and I'm not going to be happy if it's all for naught, yeah?

| 001. Tarts and Vicars |
[August 10, 2008 | 07:05 PM] |
Does anyone want to be the Vicar to my Tart?
Now, don't all answer at once, guys.
Sounds like a good time, even though I think we all now know that "debauchery" doesn't really agree with Miss Rose Weasley. Well, everyone who was sober enough last night to be aware of my own drunken ramblings, or the time I fell off the bar stool at, I believe, the fifth pub we went to and landed flat on my back giggling like a mad man next to a perturbed-looking drunk German. Good thing today was a free day, or I might have gotten in trouble for sleeping until 2.
So, I hear we've got a snowball fight tomorrow. Is that right? I lost my schedule a while ago, and I've been stuck asking around since then. Wonder who's going to win THAT one.
- Rose
